FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How are classes structured?
    Each class is 2 hours long with a 30-minute break coming halfway through. There are assessments every Friday as well as a midterm and final exam after 6 and 12 weeks, respectively.
  • What books do you use?
    We use the Cambridge curriculum with the Evolve book series. These go from Beginner to Advanced with a total of 6 levels at 12 units each. Each week has two grammar and vocabulary focuses while using speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
  • What are intensive courses?
    These are courses that are done in 6 weeks instead of the standard 12. These students would be taking 2 classes a day for those weeks.
  • Can I request a refund?
    Refunds can be given on a case-by-case basis. Students can absolutely transfer or pause courses.
  • Is it safe?
    Incredibly so! Dubai is one of the world's safest cities and crime is essentially non-existent. Just ask who's been here!
  • Do I get an Emirates ID?
    A residence visa comes with an Emirates ID, which allows you to work, setup bank accounts, etc.
  • What can I do on my visa?
    A residence visa enables you to do many things. Open up bank accounts, rent an apartment, even work in the UAE. Ask about our career department if you're looking to work!
  • Do you offer jobs?
    We work with several recruitment agencies in the UAE that have a multitude of job openings in various career sectors. Ask us for more details!
  • Is alcohol legal?
    We've heard this a million times! Don't worry, it's not illegal to drink alcohol in UAE. Join us on one of our social activities to see! Just be sure to drink in legal places (bars, beach clubs, your house!) as drinking in some public areas can be illegal.
  • Are bikinis allowed?
    Of course! People from all over the world know Dubai's beaches and dress the same as they do at home. Only be careful going into family areas (shopping malls, anywhere with kids).
